Public Audit (Wales) Act 2004 Section 29
Accounts and Audit (Wales) Regulations 2014
1. The audit of accounts for the Tredegar Town Council for the year ended 31 March 2026 has been concluded.
2. The annual return is available for inspection by any local government elector for the area of the Tredegar Town Council on application to:
(a) Annette Edwards, Responsible Finance Officer. Tredegar Town Council offices, Bedwellty House, Tredegar Gwent NP22 3EN
between 9.30 am and 1.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays
(excluding public holidays), when any local government elector may make copies of the annual return.
3. Copies will be provided to any local government elector on payment of
(c) £1.00 for each copy of the annual return.

Publication of audited accounts for the year ended 31 March 2026
Regulation 15(5) of the Accounts and Audit (Wales) Regulations 2014 (as amended) requires that by 30 September 2026, Tredegar Town Council publish its accounting statements for the year ended 31 March 2026 together with any certificate, opinion, or report issued, given or made by the Auditor General.
The accounting statements, in the form of an annual return, have been published on the Council’s website. However, the Auditor General has not yet issued his audit opinion and report and therefore the accounts are published before the conclusion of the audit. The annual return will be published along with the Auditor General’s report and opinion when the audit is completed.
