Tredegar Town Council has always taken great pride in providing a magnificent display of Christmas Lights.

Unfortunately, this year, Town Council received a request from the property owner of a number of premises throughout Tredegar Town Centre, with an instruction to remove all Christmas lighting infrastructure from these properties.

Therefore, in order to ensure there will be no gap in provision, and again to do our very utmost for the community of Tredegar and all visitors to our town, a complete review of the current infrastructure in place will be undertaken. This year the display will be different from most recent years, but Town Council very much hope everyone will like the changes that have to be made.

The Town Clock will look spectacular, as it always does, however, there may well be some new motifs among other changes too!

Town Council hope, however, that the display will continue to bring some Christmas cheer to the town and encourage more people to support our town centre businesses.’

Cymru Creations/Blaenau Gwent Film Academy wins Film Award

What an amazing night for the Cymru Creations/Blaenau Gwent Film Academy team at the North Europe Fusion International Film Festival in London, where they picked up the award for best screenplay for a feature film. A huge well done to everyone involved and especially to the writers of ‘Knight of the Bloodmoon’ Kevin Phillips & Leigh David Jones.  This horror screenplay was entirely filmed in Bedwellty House and Park in their hometown of Tredegar.
